Bittersweet Goodbye

Dear group:

Right now we are at the airport waiting for a full day of traveling and most of you will probably see this when you are already back home,  getting ready to sleep in your bed and probably already eating your favorite meals after hugging all of your families and pets!

We wanted to send you one last message to let you know, again, how grateful and fortunate we feel to have traveled with you for the last month.

All we can think about today is all the enthusiasm you showed in the village, the hard work you put in those floors, the relationships you created in the village, the friendships you formed within the group, and all the lessons you learned.

We hope you never forget this time, with its highs and its lows, all the laughs, the jokes, the meals, the beautiful views, crystal clear beaches and above all, the love we received from all the Dominican people who helped us and hosted us. You now have the responsibility to tell those close to you about your experience here!

Know that we are very proud of you and we hope to see you again soon. As you did during this month, you can count on us and we will always be happy to know about you and your journeys.

Dear parents:

Thank you so much for trusting us with your sons and daughters. We hope you enjoyed this blog and use it as a tool, going through it with your kids to hear more about every experience and moment.

And so, to end our blog how we started it, using the chosen words of the day, this trip has been: family, rewarding, exciting, relaxing, adventurous, tasty, sweet, taught us perseverance, detailed, friendship, community, made us celebrate, made us feel adrenaline, feel in paradise, energizing, meaningful. and bittersweet!

Keep in touch!
Abrazos,
Juliana and Gregorio

P.S. Cheerio!
